السيناريست وليد يوسف مؤلف مسلسل الدالي الجزء الثالث رفض أن يؤكد أو ينفي ظهور العديد من الشخصيات السياسية من ضمنها رموز النظام السابق صفوت الشريف زكريا عزمي فتحي سرور بالإضافة إلى نجل الرئيس المخلوع علاء مبارك ضمن أحداث الجزء الثالث من المسلسل الذي يجرى عرضه حالياً مطالباً المشاهد أن يُشغل عقله
وقال وليد أن على المتفرج أن يدرك بنفسه فقد تعبت عدة أشهر كي أقدم هذا المسلسل بشكل ملائم وأبسط حقوقي هو أن يجلس المشاهد ويستكشف الأمور بنفسه دون أن نلقنه شيئاً فعصر المشاهد السلبي انتهى كما ذكر في تصريحٍ لجريدة المصري اليوم
وعن إمكانية تصوير جزء رابع يتناول أحداث الثورة قال وليد أنه لن يقدم عملاً عن الثورة قبل مرور خمس أو عشر سنوات عليها لنعرف فعلاً ماذا حدث ومن كان مع الثورة ومن باعها
وأضاف أن التعاقد في البداية كان على ثلاثية يتناول الجزء الأول منها الفترة من 1952 وحتى 1979 ويتناول الجزء الثاني ما بين 1972 وزلزال 1992 وأخيراً يتناول الجزء الثالث من بين 1992 و2001 حيث سقوط مركز التجارة ولكن نظراً لكثافة أحداث الجزء الثالث فقد فكر القائمين على المسلسل تقديمه في جزئين ولكن لم يتم الاتفاق حتى الآن على تقديم جزء جديد
