قال مصدر من شركة سينرجي المنتجة للمسلسل في تصريح خاص لـFilFancom هناك اجتماعات شبه يومية بين سعد والمنتج صفوت غطاس مالك الشركة والمؤلف أحمد عبد الله من أجل التحضير للمسلسل الذي سيعود به الممثل الشهير للشاشة الصغيرة بعد غياب 13 عاما
تابع وتم الاتفاق مع أحمد عبد الله على كتابة مسلسل عن الرئيس الليبى معمر القذافي، خاصة فى مواقفه الكوميدية مع الثوار أثناء ثورة ليبيا التى كانت محل لسخرية الجميع، وبمجرد انتهاء كتابة السيناريو سيبدأ التصوير فورا من أجل اللحاق بالعرض في رمضان 2012
يذكر أن محمد سعد كان من المقرر أن يدخل السباق الرمضاني في 2011، ولكنه لم يستقر على سيناريو لذلك، فقام بتأجيل المسلسل حتى يستقر على سيناريو
