كرم جابر بطل المصارعة الأوليمبى لأول مرة منذ اختفائه لأكثر من عامين فى المصارعة العالمية للمحترفين بالولايات المتحدة الأميركية ليصارع أقوى مصارعين فى العالم، حيث تواجد جابر فى الاتحاد العالمى للمصارعة الترفيهية وزار تدريبات المصارعين والتقط معهم الصورة التذكارية وأبرزهم جون سينا الذى يتطلع لملاقاته قريبا. ووفقا لما نشره "اجبشن بروفيشينال أرينا"، فإن كرم جابر سيكون أول عربى ينضم إلى بطولات الإتحاد العالمى للمصارعة الترفيهية فى عصرها الحديث، حيث لم يسبق لأى عربى الانضمام إلى هذه اللعبة. يذكر أن جابر حاز لمصر على ميدالية ذهبية فى دورة الألعاب الأولمبية فى أثنيا 2004 فى المصارعة الرومانية، ولم يتمكن للفوز
