زجاءت تلك التصريحات على قناه الجزيره وذلك بعد سيطره الثوار على العاصمة الليبية طرابلس دون وجود مقاومه من كتائب القذافى
كما القت كتائب القذافى تسليم نفسها للثوار الليبين بعد السيطره بشكل كامل على قاعدة معيتيقة الجوية بالعاصمة الليبية طرابلس
وخرجت الثوار الى جميع الشوارع الليبيه وسط احتفالات ببني غازي
