تتوالى التبرعات التي يجود بها المتبرعون في السعودية استجابة لدعوة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود حفظه الله لإغاثة إخوانهم في الصومال والوقوف معهم للتخفيف من معاناتهم جراء ما يعانون من المجاعة ويكابدون المشقة والعوز والحاجة والتي انطلقت عصر أمس وكان مقرراً أن تنتهي الساعة الثالثة من فجر اليوم قبل أن يصدر توجيه صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير نايف بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود النائب الثاني لرئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية المشرف على الحملة الوطنية السعودية لإغاثة الشعب الصومالي بتمديد الحملة التليفزيونية يوماً آخر
وتقرر أن تكون الحملة التليفزيونية لمدة يومين هما يوم الاثنين 22/ 9/ 1432هـ ويوم الثلاثاء 23/ 9/ 1432هـ حسب ما تم في اليوم الأول أي من الساعة 4:30 عصراً وحتى الساعة 3:00 من فجر الأربعاء عبر القناة الأولى على أن تقوم القناة الاقتصادية بتغطية الحملة خلال نقل القناة الأولى صلاتي التراويح والتهجد
"سبق" رصدت بالصور وبالتقارير المتوالية إقبال وتفاعل الشعب السعودي المحب للخير مع دعوة الملك حيث جاد الآلاف من السعوديين بملايين التبرعات النقدية والعينية في مختلف مناطق المملكة ووصل إجمالي التبرعات النقدية المقدمة للحملة الوطنية السعودية لإغاثة الشعب الصومالي حتى إعداد هذا الخبر الساعة الثانية من فجر الثلاثاء أكثر من 100 مليون ريال إضافة إلى المواد العينية من المواد الغذائية والإيوائية والطبية فيما أشارت مصادر مطلعة إلى أن حجم تبرعات عملاء الاتصالات السعودية شارف على الـ 7 ملايين ريال عن طريق إرسال الرسائل للرقم 5565 الذي أعلنت عنه الشركة
