الموقع من اليوم الاثنين 5 مارس 2012 فتح باب التسجيل للمصريين في الخارج وذلك حتى الاربعاء 4 ابريل 2012 بشرط ان يكون قد استخرج بطاقة الرقم القومي قبل يوم 8 مارس 2012
أما بالنسبة لمن صدر له أو سيصدر بطاقة رقم قومي بعد هذا التاريخ سوف يسمح له بالتسجيل لاحقاً في قاعدة بيانات الناخبين للتصويت في الاستفتاءات والانتخابات العامة اللاحقة
انتخابات الرئاسة الفعيلة تبدأ من يوم السبت 10 مارس 2012 بتقديم المرشحين اوراق الترشيح وتستمر حتى يونيو 2012 ليستلم الرئيس الجدي مهام وظيفته في الاول من يوليو
