حادث اليم فى صباح يوم الاثنين 26 مارس 2012 هز انفجار كبير منطقة منطقة بور توفيق وتحديدا بترسانة قناة السويس البحرية حيث حدث انفجار على متن القاطرة p m f التابعة لهيئة قناة السويس وذلك أثناء صيانتها بالحوض العام داخل مقر الترسانة التابعة للهيئة وأسفر الانفجار عن مصرع وإصابة 20 عاملا واصابة الكثير ممن كانو على متن تلك القاطرة وفور حدوث الانفجار هرعت قوات الحماية المدنية المصرية بمدينة السويس وسيارات الإسعاف الى مكان الانفجار وجار الان إخراج العمال اللذين لاقو حتفهم والبحث على عمال على قيد الحياة ذلك الامر ادى الى حزن شديد بمحافظة السويس وقد اعلنت هيئة قناة السويس بأن السبب الرئيسي لنشوب الحريق هو انفجار بأحد تنكات أسفل القاطرة، ما أدى لنشوب الحريق الذي امتد لمطبخ القاطرة
