فى المسابقة الدولية لموقع اليوتيوب العالمى تاهل طالب مصرى يدعى عمرو محمد 18 سنة من محافظة الاسكندرية الى النهائيات العالمية للمسابقة من ضمن 6 اشخاص من دول الولايات المتحدة الامريكية - اسبانيا - مصر - الهند - نيوزيلندا حيث يعتبر الطالب عمرو محمد ممثل الشرق الاوسط والمنطقة العربية باكملها فى تلك المسابقة العالمية حيث سيسافر الى واشنطن فى شهر مارس القادم لاجراء سلسلة من الانشطة التابعة للمسابقة وحضور بعض المؤتمرات حيث سينطلق خلال عام تقريبا الى الفضاء الخارجى لاجراء تجربته على بعد 250 ميلا
عن سطح الارض حيث يتم اذاعة التجربة على الهواء على الموقع العالمى اليوتيوب حيث تعد تلك المرة هى اول مرة لصعود مصرى الى الفضاء الخارجى على متن سفينة الفضاء ISS ويشترك فى تلك المسابقة الفضائية وكالة الفضاء الامريكية «NASA»، ووكالة الفضاء الأوروبية «ESA»، وكالة استكشاف الفضاء اليابانية «JAXA»
حيث جاء اختيار عمرو محمد بعد مسابقة لليوتيوب لجميع انحاء العالم وهى ان يعرض كل شخص عنده فكرة يريد ان يشاهدها فى الفضاء فى خلال فيديو لا تزيد مدته عن دقيقتين يشرح فيهما كل انحاء جوانب التجربة فنج عمرو محمد فى تقديم تجربته واختير من بين 2000 شخص فى جميع انحاء العالم حيث نجح فى الاستفتاء اللذى نشره اليوتيوب على موقعه ونجح ان يكون من افضل 60 شخصا ثم نجح فى اجتياز الاختبار الثانى وابح من 6 افراد الاوائل فى العالم فى تلك المسابقة التى يشترط فيها ان يكون المتسابق مابين عمر 14 الى 18 عام
