اكد الفنان عادل إمام عن استيائه من الأنباء التي يسمعها عن وفاته كل فترة خاصة أنه أصبح يسمعها باستمرار، مؤكداً أنه بصحة جيدة، وسيعاود تصوير مسلسله المؤجل فرقة ناجي عطا الله بعد أن يقضي إجازة استجمام
وقال عادل إمام: أنا حي والحمد لله، وهذه شائعة تضاف إلي قائمة الشائعات الطويلة التي تعرّضت لها في الفترة الماضية، لدرجة أني أصبحت أسمع خبر وفاتي مرة كل أسبوع
وأضاف في تصريحات لجريدة روز اليوسف: فوجئت بزوج ابنتي يهرول نحوي ليطمئن عليّ بعد أن سمع هذه الأنباء، فقلت له متسائلاً: مالك يا ابني فيه إيه؟ قال أنا سمعت إنك مت، فضحكت وقلت لأولادي جميل إنك تقرأ نعيك وأنت حي وترى الناس ماذا تفعل لأجلك
وتابع عادل إمام الملقب بـالزعيم أنه برغم ذلك يرفض أي شائعة من هذا النوع، ويطالب بالتأكد من صحتها قبل نشرها، مؤكداً أنه سيواصل تصوير مسلسل فرقة ناجي عطا الله في بورسعيد بعد عيد الفطر
جدير بالذكر أن أنباء تمّ نشرها على مواقع الانترنت تفيد بتعرّض عادل إمام لنوبة قلبية فارق على إثرها الحياة، وأشارت تفاصيل الخبر إلى أن إمام كان في زيارة للفنان صلاح السعدني، وفي منتصف الطريق تعرّض لأزمة قلبية أدت إلي وفاته وكان يرافقه شقيقه المنتج الفني عصام إمام
وانتشر النبأ في الوسط الفني والصحفي كالنار في الهشيم بسبب الحالة الصحية التي يمر بها عادل إمام، وساهم في زيادة التكهنات بصحتها إغلاق الفنان لهاتفه المحمول
