وتم تقدير الكميات المتدفقة بنحو 100 برميل
وذلك نتيجة التسرب البترولي للزيت الخام الخفيف من ثلاثة ينابيع قديمة بالقرب من البئر رقم 24 بمنطقة جمشه شمال الغردقة إلى منطقة البحر الأحمر الشاطئية
حيث انها من مناطق امتياز التنقيب عن البترول للشركة العامة للبترول
وحذرت عدد من جمعيات المحافظة على البيئة بالبحر الأحمر
ان نتيجة ذلك التسرب يشكل خطورة على الثروة السمكية ومحميات الجزر الشمالية ووصوله للشواطئ والقرى السياحية لشمال الغردقة
وجارى تقدير الموقف وإعداد تقارير عن الموقف وعرضه على وزيري البيئة والبترول
