بعد أنباء عن اعتزام إليسا إحياء حفل غنائي بأحد منتجعات الساحل الشمالي، ظهرت مجموعات على فيس بوك تطالب بمنع الفنانة اللبنانية من دخول مصر بسبب تصريحات أدلت بها وُصفت بأنها تتضمن إساءة لثورة 25 يناير الماضي
وحملت إحدى المجموعات اسم مليون مصري لمنع إليسا من دخول مصر بسبب تشويهها الثورة المصرية، وأخرى اسم معًا لمنع إليسا من دخول مصر بسبب تشويهها الثورة المصرية، حسب سي إن إن، الأحد 4 سبتمبر 2011م
وتراوحت تعليقات المشاركين في تلك المجموعات، والذين يتجاوز عددهم ثلاثة آلاف شخص بين التنديد بتصريحات المغنية اللبنانية، والتهديد بتنظيم احتجاجات إذا سُمح بدخولها مصر، فيما تضمنت تعليقات هجومًا على النجمة التي كانت تحظى بشعبية كبيرة بين المصريين
يُذكر أن إليسا كانت قد ذكرت، في تصريحات نُسبت إليها، في يونيو في معرض تعليقها على ثورة 25 يناير: شعرت خلال زيارتي الأخيرة إلى مصر بأن جمودًا أصاب البلد كله
وقد فسر البعض تلك التصريحات بأنها تتضمن إساءة لثورة الشباب في مصر ما أثار موجة انتقادات حادة ضد النجمة اللبنانية، لدرجة أن محامين رفعوا دعاوى قضائية تطالب بمنعها من دخول مصر

One of the groups and carried the name million Egyptians to prevent Elissa from entering Egypt due to distortion of the Egyptian Revolution and the other the name Elissa together to prevent from entering Egypt due to the distortion of the Egyptian revolution according to CNN Sunday September 4 2011 m
Comments ranged from the participants in those groups and the more than three thousand people; between denouncing statements of Lebanese singer and the threat of protests if allowed to enter Egypt with comments included an attack on the star that was very popular among Egyptians
Elissa mentioned that she had said in comments attributed to it in June commenting on the revolution of January 25: I felt during my recent visit to Egypt that the rigid hit the whole country
Some have interpreted these statements as involving an abuse of the youth revolution in Egypt; caused a wave of criticism against the Lebanese singer to the extent that lawyers filed lawsuits demanding preventing her from entering Egypt
