قام اليوم مسلحين وبعض من اهالى منطقة البضعة بإقتحام المحطة النووية وقاموا بتفجير كافة المنشآت النووية بالديناميت وقد اعرب محافظ مطروح اللواء طه محمد عن بالغ قلقه نظراً لتطور الموقف بشكل سريع ومفاجىء مما جعل هناك ارتباك لدى الجهات الامنية بالمحافظة وقد اشار المحافظ ان الاهالى قاموا ايضا بسرقة ونهب وتدمير كل ما كان يوجود فى المحطة واشار المحافظ إن مشروع المحطة النووية هو مشروع قومى كبير لا يمكن إلغاءه على الإطلاق كما طالب المحافظ من الاهالى وسكان المنطقة بالعمل على حماية المنشآية التى تعتبر غاية الاهمية فيما قد طالب أعضاء مجلس الشعب خير الله الزعيرى ومنصور جوية بنقل المحطة الى
مكان اخر بعيد عن تلك المنطقة الاهلة بالسكان ومن الجدير بالذكر ان سكان منطقة الضبعة قد دخلوا في اكثر من شهرين بالاعتصام المفتوح أمام مفاعل الضبعة النووي وقاموا منذ يومان بقطع الطريق الدولي على مدار ساعات طويلة كما قاموا بمنع جميع الموظفين الذين يعملون بمجلس المدينة وشركة المياه وغيرها من المصالح والمؤسسات الحكومية من الدخول إلى محل عملهم كما قاموا ايضا بإقتحام قسم شرطة واخيرا قاموا باحتلال تلك المصالح حتى يتم الاستجابة لمطالبهم ألا أن بعض الجهات الأمنية تدخلت لعودة الحياة لطبيعتها
