وكان فضل قد احتجز مساء الخميس الماضي، بعد اتهامه وخمسة أشخاص بإطلاق النار على منزل صهره هشام مكي، بعد خلافات عائلية
وتردد أن مكي تقدم قبل أكثر من سنة إلى شاكر لطلب يد ابنته، إلا أن الوالد رفض العريس ما دفعه إلى الزواج بالابنة رغمًا عن والدها، وقد قال مقربون من الفنان إن المشاكل احتدمت بينه وبين الصهر الذي قام بإرسال عبارات نابية إلى والد زوجته عبر هاتفه الخليوي، الأمر الذي استفز أقارب شاكر، فاقتحموا منزل مكي حيث وقع الشجار، مؤكدين أن فضل لم يكن معهم
وقد أكد المنتج عادل معتوق الأمر، حيث أبدى استعداده للشهادة أمام القضاء اللبناني بوجود فضل بعيدًا عن الحادث لحظة وقوعه، حيث كان يتناول معه طعام الإفطار في مطعم ألحان الذي يمتلكه في مدينة صيدا، واستمر معه حتى الفجر
ومنذ إلقاء القبض على شاكر، تدخلت وساطات للإصلاح بينه وبين صهره، كما تدخلت مرجعيات سياسية لحل القضية قبل أن تصل إلى أروقة القضاء
